I put it to you sir, that Dr X isn't actually called Dr X at all. I believe it to be highly likely that Dr X in fact has a perfectly normal name like Edward Jones, perhaps something as outlandish as Ranulph Montgomery but Dr X is, to my mind, completely unfeasible.
ReplyDeleteFor starters, everyone knows that Malcolm didn't have a brother, or indeed any relatives who went into the Health care profession. For finshers, what sort of parent is going to call their child 'Dr'? I know that some controlling parents who want the best for their child in future may steer them towards a certain career choice, but to name them that career at birth is simply cruel. Where would we be if people went around with names like 'Politician Clancy', 'Binman Fitzpatrick' or 'Crackwhore Simmonds'. The world would be a worse place.
